RPO plays a vital role in the talent solutions that we deliver for our global clients. As we constantly challenge ourselves to think differently about how RPO is delivered, we unite process improvement with insightful research and technology-enabled talent attraction to create best-in-class candidate experiences. Our solutions-first approach means that our people enjoy huge opportunities to engage deeply with clients, build multi-layered recruitment models and impact more widely on talent acquisition strategies.

About Talent Works

Braver, bolder and brighter, we are leading the rethink around how companies attract, hire and manage their future workforce. Our ambition is nothing less than to set new standards across our industry and create exceptional outcomes and experiences for our clients and their people.

Talent solutions: built smarter, built better.

Role Overview

We are looking for a true end-to-end recruiter to deliver on an exciting new contract. Helping to scale an established biotech organisation across it’s Research Site in the UK, as well as support other functions (like CMC, Manufacturing, Data Technology, Commercial and Corporate Functions) across EMEA, Brazil and Australia. You must have a proven track record of sourcing best-in-class talent, pipelining future candidates, and running assessment activities. You will play a key role in coaching candidates and stakeholders through the recruitment process to ensure the best results for both.

You will:

  • Develop and execute Talent Acquisition strategies to build a top-tier, qualified workforce
  • Advise hiring managers on appropriate roles for each member of the interview team and coach on technical, functional, and behavioural interview models
  • Use data and reporting to advise stakeholders on talent acquisition strategies, and to drive hiring decisions.
  • Work closely with TA Colleagues to develop strategies on Early in Career, Talent Intelligence, and TA Operations.
  • Provide weekly and ad-hoc updates to TA teams, hiring managers, leaders, and business stakeholders as needed.
  • Build and nurture candidate pipelines
  • Grow your existing network, foster new relationships and attend networking events to further identify talent for the organization.
  • Collaborate with HR stakeholders to develop strategies for attracting talent that will help to sustain and contribute to the Vertex culture.
  • Lead the offer process and employ developed negotiating skills to close candidates.
  • Work closely with HR Colleagues including Compensation Business partners, Global Mobility and Benefits, as well as TA and HR Operations teams.
  • May contribute to projects as part of the long-term strategy of building a best-in-class staffing organization.
  • May guide and mentor less experienced team members to improve their skills.

The Key Requirements

  • You must have a significant level of expertise in talent acquisition. But we’re also looking for more than just a track record. You need to be able to think strategically, influence others and adapt quickly when you need to. Capable of delivering solutions, as well as following process, you will be able to take the lead in shaping TA thinking on a complex, fast-moving account.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and a proven track record of success in talent acquisition best practices.
  • Understanding of biotech / life sciences talent in global markets, with specific emphasis on Research and Development
  • Extensive experience hiring in the UK and EMEA (Scientists, Engineers & Data Technologists) understanding the importance of local nuances.
  • Ability to influence others through persuasion, negotiation and consensus building.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong cross-functional relationships and communicate complex issues and concepts to a wide range of external and internal stakeholders.
  • The ability to quickly learn new tools and technologies, continuously developing your skill set to the benefit of yourself and the teams you work with.
