We are currently seeking a Head of Export Control to lead the Export Control team at a leading Defence organisation who're dedicated to advancing cutting-edge products.


Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop the Export Control Team, guiding their functional growth.
  • Oversee Export Control Compliance by managing export license process and conducting audits.
  • Coordinate with international compliance teams to align activities and approaches.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders and government entities.
  • Lead the Export Control team, ensuring compliance and supporting organisational goals.
  • Negotiate and amend export control contracts to minimize liabilities.
  • Implement best practices and maintain necessary processes and tools for effective export control.


Skills & Experience

  • Strong understanding of the commercial and cultural aspects of various export domains.
  • Strong relationship building skills.
  • Experienced in fostering positive engagement with partners, suppliers, and customers.
  • Expertise in export license services and compliance, including conducting internal and audits.
  • Solid grasp of legal implications and regulations in export control.
  • Able to provide vision and leadership to the Export Control Team, supporting broader group commitments.
