We are looking for a Contract Technical Architect to work on a Government-Based project for a period of 6 months initially, with a view to extend.


Rates: £650-£700 per day

Length: 6 months initially, view to extend

Location: London

Hybrid Working: 2 days on-site, 3 days WFH/Remote Working

Role and Responsibilities

  • Conducting thorough analysis of business requirements and translating them into technical specifications.
  • Creating comprehensive system blueprints and diagrams to visualise the architecture.
  • Selecting appropriate technologies, platforms, and frameworks to support the desired functionalities and scalability of the system.
  • Collaborating with software engineering teams to ensure the successful execution of the design.
  • Presenting technical proposals and solutions to stakeholders in a clear and understandable manner.
  • Facilitating discussions and negotiations to resolve conflicts or discrepancies between different stakeholders' expectations.
  • Conducting thorough testing and quality assurance procedures to identify and address any issues or vulnerabilities.
  • Implementing best practices for system optimisation, scalability, and fault tolerance.
  • Monitoring system performance metrics and implementing corrective actions as needed to maintain optimal performance.
  • Setting technical standards and best practices for development and architecture.
  • Serving as a subject matter expert on technology trends, emerging tools, and industry best practices.


Technical Architect Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Technical Architect
  • Hands-on experience with software development
  • Understanding of strategic IT solutions
  • Experience in project management and service-oriented architecture (SOA)
  • Knowledge of selected coding languages (e.g. Java, JavaScript, Python or other OO language)
  • Familiarity with various operating systems (e.g. Windows, Linux, UNIX) and databases (e.g. SQL)
  • Experience in cloud technologies (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP etc)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Problem-solving aptitude
