Managers and applicants must note that all secondments are subject to agreement between the relevant departments and therefore the recruiting manager must speak with HRbeforeoffering a job on a secondment basis.*Contract & Commissioning Officer (DATRIG)An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Contracts and Commissioning Officer to work as part of the developing Addictions team within Wirrals Public Health service.The post holder will provide commissioning and contracting expertise to support the fast-paced expansion and adaptation of the Wirral Drug and Alcohol Treatment and Recovery system.Wirral has been allocated sizeable government grant funding that enables local areas to achieve the aims and objectives of the 10-year national drugs strategy. As a result we have a dynamic and responsive programme of new commissioning that has put great energy into the system and is providing the workforce with a real sense of being able to make a difference. About the Role:Working to a Public Health Programme Manager the postholder will work as part of a small close-knit Addictions team and have extensive contact and engagement with both stakeholders and service users. They will take an active role in ensuring we make best use of this time-limited grant funding and assist in maintaining fast-moving developments.About the Candidate:The successful candidate should have excellent interpersonal skills be well-organised and thorough and be able to work effectively under time pressures. They should also have strong partnership-working skills and substantial experience of working collaboratively allowing them to play their part in building both an effective team and an effective system.
