Principal Disrepair Surveyor £400p/d Umbrella Rate (Inside IR35) 3 Months Initially (with view for extension in place) London Borough of Newham   What will you do? To be responsible for a professional housing surveying service, all technical aspects of the repair, maintenance, improvement and re-servicing of all council owned, managed and leased stock in accordance with Newham Council's policies and procedures, providing an effective responsive repair and planned maintenance service for the organisation; and to manage a specific specialist team of surveyors and support staff for Housing Property Services   Job Context The post holder reports to the Disrepair & Special Projects Manager The post holder has budget monitoring responsibility for a programme of responsive & capital improvement projects to around £ 2 million p.a.   What do you need?   To be successful in your application for this role you will need to demonstrate ALL the following on application and through the interview process: ·UK resident ·3+ years' experience within Local Authority/Social Housing ·A related degree or equivalent qualification ·Previous experience managing teams within maintenance service ·The post holder may be required to work evenings, weekends and occasional public holidays, to meet service requirements and specifically to carry out consultation and representational tasks with residents and other stakeholders, and to provide cover for emergencies.   What to do next?
