Job DescriptionWe are seeking a dedicated and strategic National Account Manager to join our team in the UK. This role emphasises our companies Animal Healths Companion Animal and Ruminant business strategy customer knowledge and relationship development at the country level. The successful candidate will be responsible for understanding the needs and opportunities of key influential customers and will develop and implement specific account plans to deliver profitable growth. Collaboration across business units is essential to create actionable mutual account plans focusing on building strong relationships with operational teams.Key Responsibilities:Develop business at the country level by closely collaborating with customers country operations teamsWork effectively with cross-functional teams including marketing finance and territory management to meet customer expectationsEnsure that customer feedback and needs are integrated into brand and business planning processesImplement pricing and promotional strategies and contribute to central discussions based on our Companion Animal and Ruminant product pipelineIncrease our brand presence and share of wallet within accounts fostering collaborative relationships with key stakeholdersIdentify and proactively communicate mutual business development opportunities and challenges to contract leadsSupport the Senior Manager in negotiations to safeguard our profitability while balancing growth opportunitiesPosition our Animal Health business as a key strategic partner with our major customersIdentify key performance indicators to coordinate monitor and report on project effectivenessKnowledge & Experience Required:Educated to degree level or equivalent industry/business qualificationExperience in National Account Management and preferably in applying category management techniquesProven track record in sales and account managementStrong understanding of the animal health environment and broader business principlesFamiliarity with negotiation strategies and their practical application.Excellent communication and interpersonal skillsProficient in Excel and PowerPoint for data presentationRequired Skills: Account Management Adaptability Channel Partner Management Communication Customer Experience Management Customer Feedback Data Analysis IT Competency Lead Generation Motivation Management National Accounts Management Product Knowledge Profit Planning Sales Operations Sales Process Management Sales Promotions Swine Production Travel Management Veterinary MedicinePreferred Skills: Current Employees apply HERECurrent Contingent Workers apply HERESearch Firm Representatives Please Read CarefullyMerck & Co.
