Paritas is partnered with a thriving, rapidly growing energy research and analytics company that currently serves a range of the world’s most influential energy sector participants, including utilities, investors, and governments.


This position offers you the chance to work in a dynamic multi-national team playing a key role in collecting, processing and reporting of key data supporting all aspects of commercial and operational activities.


The team is expected to grow and offer the potential for progression and personal development, including international expansion and creation of new data and software-based solutions.


This role would be ideal for a candidate at an earlier stage of their career who is looking to develop a skillset in analytics and reporting with a focus on commercial management.


Strong PowerBI Experience is essential to this role


Key responsibilities:

  • Lead the Commercial Intelligence team in their mission to provide key insights and management information to the Commercial and Senior Management teams
  • Manage the further development of a suite of self-service dashboards with the aim of driving the team towards data-driven decisions
  • Direct and improve the reconciliation processes of other functions that consume commercial data such as finance (FP&A); software development and ERP
  • Manage and develop team members including supporting continuous skillset development and training of team members
  • Provide bespoke analytics for stakeholders
  • Be responsible for the data integrity and accuracy of Commercial Intelligence data


Required attributes:

  • A high level of numerical & analytical competence
  • Experience in analysing, manipulating and visualising data
  • An ability to understand unstructured data questions to carry out analysis to provide relevant and valuable insights and recommendations
  • Experience with data tools such as Microsoft Excel; Power BI; Power Query and CRMs
  • An ability to effectively prioritise and manage your own time and tasks, and those of your team members
  • Leadership skills to direct; influence and mentor team members
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate with both technically and non-technically minded parties
  • Experience in using Power BI, Tableau, or other business intelligence tools
  • Experience with SQL/SOQL


Desirable attributes:

  • Experiences in producing and managing sales & KPI based reporting
  • Experience with Salesforce; Microsoft Dynamics CRM or any other CRM platform
  • Experience of VBA/Macros
