Great opportunity to work as anHGV Class 2 Driverfor our client's major bakery and distribution centre that produces and delivers a wide range of bread and bakery products to retailers and customers across the region.Staffline is recruiting HGV Class 2 Drivers inSebon, Mitcham.The rate of pay is£15.15per hour.This role offers full or part-time positions working 4 on 4 off or 2 on 2 off, with thestart times of 2am.Applicants must hold a valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) Licence, Driver CPC Qualification and a Digital Tachograph Card.Your Time at WorkAs a HGV Class 2 Driver your duties include:- Safely operate a Class 2 vehicle for multi-drop deliveries across the region. - Completing daily vehicle checks and maintaining DVSA-compliant paperwork. - Providing professional customer service and managing delivery documentation. - Loading and unloading goods up to 20kg using proper handling techniques. - Working early morning shifts (2am start) and adapting to outdoor conditions.Please note that drivers must be able to lift and move items up to 20kg during loading and unloading.Our Perfect WorkerOur perfect worker will have the following skills:- Safe and confident driving - Strong road awareness and vehicle handling. - Punctual and reliable - Able to meet early start times and tight schedules. - Good communication - Professional with customers and team members. - Attention to detail - Accurate with paperwork and compliance checks. - Physically fit - Capable of manual handling and working in all weather. - Adaptable and resilient - Comfortable with varied tasks and changing conditions. - Frequent Vehicle Entry/Exit: Regular climbing in and out of the cab and rear of the vehicle is required, often multiple times per shift. - Outdoor Work: Deliveries may take place in all weather conditions, so physical resilience and adaptability are essential. - Extended Driving Periods: Ability to sit and remain alert for long stretches while driving multi-drop routesKey Information and Benefits- Earn £15.15 per hour - 2am starts - Temp to perm opportunity - On-site support from Staffline - Canteen on site - Free car parking on site - Free food - Full training provided - Opportunities for overtimeJob Ref:1HSEAbout StafflineStaffline is the UK's leading provider of flexible, temporary and permanent workforce solutions, enabling over 28,000 people into good work every day.
