We are recruiting for a proactive and driven Engineering Shift Manager to lead a skilled team of engineers within a fast-paced FMCG manufacturing environment. This is a hands-on leadership role, ideal for someone with strong engineering knowledge, fault-finding ability, and experience in leading maintenance operations based in Rugby. The Role: As Engineering Shift Manager, you'll take full responsibility for the engineering team on shift, ensuring all maintenance, breakdowns, and health & safety procedures are effectively managed. You'll play a key role in driving equipment reliability, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring minimal downtime across production lines.Shift Pattern:4 on 4 offRotating Days & Nights (12-hour shifts)Key Responsibilities:Lead and coordinate the engineering team during your shiftManage and prioritise PPM, reactive maintenance, and breakdownsSupport fault finding and resolution - ideally with knowledge of PLCsMaintain high standards of health & safety and ensure compliance at all timesMonitor and report on performance metrics, downtime, and improvementsWork collaboratively with production, quality, and CI teams to deliver site goalsProvide technical support and coaching to engineers and apprenticesWhat You'll Need:Strong engineering background - electrical or mechanical biasExperience in a fast-paced FMCG / manufacturing environmentProven leadership skills within a maintenance teamConfident in fault finding, including PLC-controlled systemsExcellent understanding of H&S regulations and best practicesStrong communication and problem-solving skillsSalary & Benefits:£58,429 per annumTPBN1_UKTJ
