(All learning is delivered online/ remote).Training Provider:LMP Education (rated 1st best UK training provider)During your time as a Teaching Assistant Apprentice you will undertake education support duties and assist the class teacher in the day-to-day needs of the pupils in their care to enable the teacher to implement the curriculum and respond to the pupils needs. Your day-to-day duties will include:To be a key worker for a group of identified children under teacher supervisionTo deliver phonics/reading to a group of children1-1 with SEND childrenTo work with the teacher in lesson planning evaluating and adjusting lessons/work plans asappropriate to meet the individual needs of the studentsUse strategies in liaison with the teacher to support pupils to achieve the learning goals.Contribute to the development of learning and assessment materialsTo implement agreed learning activities/assessments adjusting activities according tostudent needMonitor and celebrate childrens learning progress and achievement and record and reportupon progress including details on attendance behaviour development and additionalneedsSupervise and provide support for pupils including those with special needsensuring their safety and access to learning activitiesAlways promote good behaviourAssist with the development and implementation of Individual Education Health and CarePlansTo maintain a positive attitude seeking to bring out the best in learners and having highexpectations for allEstablish positive relationships with parents/carers ensuring parental involvement in learning and progressTo contribute to the organisation of the learning environment and creation of resourcesConstantly strive to improve own performance and identify areas for self - improvementattending appropriate trainingTo support the running of school with a break and lunch duty.To evaluate and track the impact of specialist provision and interventions.To provide at least 1 high quality after school club per week.Embed literacy and numeracy across the curriculum.Deliver a Singapore style approach to mastery mathematics.Desired skills:Achieved GCSE grade C/4 or above in English & MathsExperience of the role of a TA (paid or voluntary)Good working knowledge of the national curriculumGood numeracy and literacy skillsGood administrative organisational and computer skillsCompetent with computers and other technologyPersonal qualities:Enthusiastic and have an interest in working with childrenA team playerReliable committed and punctualProfessional organisedand attention to detailConfidence in your own ability to want to learn and developAbout the EmployerOur school is an incredible community made up of a fantastically diverse range of pupils families and colleagues.
