Job description 🌟 Teaching Assistant – Special Educational Needs | Full Time | Rochdale 🌟A well-established SEN school in Rochdale is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join it’s passionate team. This role offers the opportunity to work with students aged 11-19 with a range of special educational needs, including complex learning, physical, and communication needs, with benifits and options for progression. You’ll support pupils across varied pathways-academic, sensory, and vocational-helping them grow in confidence, independence, and self-belief in a nurturing and purpose-built environment. CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS Location – Rochdale Position – Teaching Assistant Type of work – Long term Non-Teaching cover Start date – September 2025 Duration – Permanent Contract type – Permanent Full time/part time – Full Minimum rate of pay – GBP90-GBP110 per day Hours 8:30am to 3:30pm EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS Experience with SEN/SEMH desirable Recent Graduate, with a 2:2 or higher, OR Experience as a TA in a similar setting Previous experience working in a UK school Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST: Hold Right to Work in the UK Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application Provide two professional child related references
