Client OverviewOur client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated HVAC Design Engineer to join their multidisciplinary design team at their Glasgow office. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and experience designing HVAC systems for complex and challenging building services projects. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to refine their engineering skills working on bespoke, technically challenging, design and construct projects in specialist and regulated markets, working directly with world leading clients. Role OverviewAs a HVAC Design engineer your responsibilities will include: Collaborate with clients, multidisciplinary design teams, and other project stakeholders, to understand project requirements and provide technical solutionsDevelop HVAC designs solutions for projects, drawing on the experience of key sector specialists as requiredDeliver work package design information for HVAC systems including ductwork, piping, plumbing and control systemsEnsure project timelines are met and quality standards are upheldConduct code and design reviews to ensure designs meet industry standards and regulationsManage project budgets and schedules, and report on project progress to senior managementContribute to disciple development RequirementsDegree in Building Services Engineer or related fieldChartered Engineer, or working towards chartership10+ years of experience in building services design, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership roleStrong technical knowledge of HVAC systems and industry standardsAbility to think from first principles to develop elegant, efficient and economical design solutionsFamiliarity with psychrometric calculations (supplementary training will be provided)Strong commercial awarenessExcellent project management and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and team membersProficiency with software packages such as AutoCAD, Excel, Navis Works.
