Surrey, United Kingdom WEBRECRUIT Full time

Nights Support Worker
Surrey

The Organisation

Our client enables those with disabilities, their families, and their carers to lead fulfilling lives.

Our client is now looking for a Support Worker to join them for the night shift on a permanent, part-time basis, working 20 hours per week, between the hours of 9pm and 7am.

The Benefits

- Salary of £14,435 per annum
- A culture of progression and development
- 38 days’ annual leave pro rata for part time staff (including Bank Holidays) to support a healthy work/life balance

If you have a childcare related qualification and experience of working with children and/or young people, this is an exceptional opportunity to step into a rewarding role with our client’s wonderful organisation.

Joining their dedicated team, you’ll enable our client to achieve their vision of a world which is inclusive to all, regardless of ability, making a difference to countless lives across the country.

What’s more, our client prides themselves on their employee experience; many of their staff have exceptional lengths of service. Our client is committed to inclusivity and, over the years, they have had many employees working for them who were previously attending their nursery and therapy services.

So, if you’re ready to advance your career and join the team, our client would love to hear from you

The Role

As a Support Worker, you will undertake a range of support activities for the young people with disabilities using our client’s service.

Working closely with Senior Support Workers, you will plan and provide leisure activities, prepare meals and refreshments, and ensure the emotional and physical wellbeing of the children and young people are maintained at all times.

You’ll also undertake cleaning duties, assist staff with signage and PECs and support the day staff with administrative and IT related tasks, such as producing documentation and auditing.

Please note, due to our client’s open and collaborative working environment and the nature of their work with children and adults with disabilities, all their office-based roles can experience periods of elevated noise levels and some elements of disruption.

About You

To be considered as a Support Worker, you will need:

- Experience of working with children and/or young people
- Knowledge of safeguarding and data protection
- A good level of IT literacy
- To hold, or be willing to work towards, Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or hold an equivalent level 3 qualification (e.g., NVQ Childcare or Health and Social Care)

Please note, our client cannot provide sponsorship for this role.

Other organisations may call this role Care Assistant, Care Worker, Healthcare Assistant, Night Support Worker, Waking Night Care Worker, or Residential Care Worker.

Webrecruit and our clients are equal opportunities employers, value diversity and are strongly committed to providing equal employment opportunities for all employees and all applicants for employment. Equal opportunities are the only acceptable way to conduct business and we believe that the more inclusive our environments are, the better our work will be.

So, if you want to make a positive difference in this rewarding role as a Support Worker, please apply via the button shown. This vacancy is being advertised by Webrecruit. The services advertised by Webrecruit are those of an Employment Agency.
