Company Description: Our client is a prominent leader providing asset managers a sophisticated range of products to better reach their institutional client base. These services are built on financial media, advertising, and events. They are renowned for their comprehensive insights and analysis, serving a diverse clientele across various alternative asset management sectors.


Role Overview: We are seeking a Senior Sales Executive to drive new business initiatives by promoting a full suite of products tailored for alternative asset managers in Europe, with a focus on private equity, private debt, infrastructure, and real estate sectors. This role is pivotal in expanding our client's market presence and requires a strategic approach to developing substantial new revenue streams.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and cultivate relationships with new clients across the European alternative asset management landscape.
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to introduce and position a range of media, advertising, and event solutions that align with client needs.
  • Engage in high-level consultations with potential clients to assess their needs and propose customised solutions that enhance their business operations and market reach.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of market trends and competitor activities to inform and adjust sales strategies accordingly.
  • Work closely with marketing and product teams to ensure that the service offerings are aligned with client expectations and industry demands.
  • Regularly report on sales progress and forecasts to senior management, providing insights and recommendations for enhancing revenue growth.


Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years of professional sales experience, preferably within the financial services or media industry focused on institutional investors.
  • Demonstrated expertise in the alternatives space, including knowledge of private equity, private debt, infrastructure, and real estate markets.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and effectively managing client relationships in a competitive environment. Any product could transition into this role, including SaaS, data and research products.
  • Strong negotiation and presentation skills, capable of communicating complex products and services to a sophisticated audience.
  • Excellent organisational and analytical abilities, with a strategic mindset towards business development.


Desirable Skills:

  • Experience with hedge fund sectors is beneficial but not essential.
  • Fluency in multiple European languages is highly regarded.
