At Amazon, the Operations team is the backbone of our business. Our primary focus is to ensure seamless order fulfilment and dispatch, guaranteeing that our customers receive their items on time.
You will be leading a high-performing team responsible for maintaining operational efficiency, safety, and quality across our network. Your key objectives will include:
- Analyzing and implementing changes to maintain consistently high levels of quality and productivity.
- Overseeing projects to streamline processes, optimize productivity, and enhance customer service quality within your area of responsibility.
- Examining shift performance against relevant business objectives and implementing actions to improve operational excellence.
- Collaborating with management-level colleagues to standardize shift practices.
Your role will involve working on a shift pattern at one of our sites, focusing on maximizing productivity while ensuring a culture of safety and upholding quality and shift performance standards. You will also oversee process improvements within your area and drive implementation.
Amazon Logistics (AMZL) handles last-mile delivery duties in partnership with third-party distribution businesses. We utilize creative thinking and continuous improvement initiatives to deliver millions of physical products to our customers. Our goal is to provide a smooth delivery experience and roll out global delivery solutions for new concepts like Amazon Fresh, Prime Now, and Amazon Restaurants.
We are a people-focused and supportive team, particularly as many of our colleagues work through the night. Our operations primarily occur during 24/7 shifts in most locations. Meanwhile, our 'on-the-road' personnel work with Amazon Flex – a network of delivery contractors.
Every year, we raise the bar for customer experience with new, innovative delivery services. We continually seek new ways to overcome industry-wide logistics challenges and reduce our carbon footprint, supported by cutting-edge vehicles and technology.
To succeed in this role, you should possess:
- Relevant experience in using data or anecdotal evidence to influence business decisions.
- Advanced proficiency in verbal and written English and local language.
- Relevant experience working with the MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) in a professional environment.
