We are seeking a Legal Secretary/Paralegal with experience in family law. The successful candidate will provide essential support to our clients solicitors and will be involved in a variety of tasks across different areas of the firm as required.
Day-to-day of the role:- Utilise good keyboard skills for document production, with an expected typing speed of approximately 65 wpm.
- Manage emails and electronic diary through Outlook.
- Operate the firm’s Case Management system effectively, ensuring all documents and correspondence are stored correctly.
- Communicate effectively with clients and other contacts during the course of a matter.
- Populate forms using the Oyez system as required by each department.
- Undertake all electronic filing daily to keep files up to date.
- Prioritise workload to manage time and tasks efficiently.
- Adhere to the firm’s procedures, including Accounts procedures.
- Organise work and tasks efficiently to ensure maximum output and accuracy.
- Assist the Managing Partner with sensitive matters, maintaining confidentiality.
- Provide cover for reception as needed.
- Legal secretarial and/or paralegal experience, with a focus on family law.
- Proficient in Word for document production using audio digital dictation.
- Familiarity with case management systems and electronic filing.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to use Oyez forms system.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise effectively.
- Commitment to following firm procedures and maintaining confidentiality.
- Competitive salary.
- Full-time hours, 37.5 per week, generally between 9.00 am and 5.30 pm with one hour for lunch.
