Account Executive- Motor Trade

An exciting opportunity for a talented Account Executive/Director to join a thriving insurance business based in Birmingham.
Be part of a thriving motor-trade insurance team and collaborate with experienced colleagues to grow your client book and earn a highly attractive salary and quarterly commission bonus.
As an Account Executive/Director, you'll inherit a book of Motor Trade clients which are based mainly across the Midlands and North of the UK.
What you'll do-
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with motor-trade clients.
- Demonstrate your self-motivated, hardworking nature to meet and exceed growth targets.
- Drive quality, consistency and accuracy in all aspects of your role.
- Achieve and maintain a high level of client service whilst always promoting exceptional customer care standards.
- Develop and maintain professional working relationships with your client base and ensure expert advice is given in all areas of business.
- Demonstrate excellent client retention skills.
- Ensure accuracy, efficiency and professionalism when dealing with both client and insurer.
- Oversee and coordinate daily operations
- Maintain compliance with external regulations and internal policies
- Assess and report progress in meeting department objectives
- Along with the branch director, see to department staffing needs (e.g. interviewing, hiring, new hire and ongoing training, annual evaluations etc.)
- Participate in budget development and monitoring of expenses.
What you'll need-
- A strong commercial insurance background including exposure to managing and retaining a portfolio of commercial insurance clients, it’s highly desirable that you’ll have motor trade Insurance experience.
- Experience in leadership and good organisational skills able to make tough decisions
- Strong knowledge of commercial insurance products and market trends.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A self-motivated and results-oriented mindset.
- Good MS Office & Acturis
- Experience in building portfolios of existing clients to maximise the income opportunities for the business.
- Articulate with strong client-facing and stakeholder management abilities.
- Strong Market and Insurer knowledge with good market relationships.
- Experience & a strong understanding of FCA compliance & the ability to work with regulatory processes.
