I am extremely excited to be recruiting a Project Manager on behalf of a truly exciting, disruptive and heavily invested start-up in Cambridge that are utilising AI to revolutionise industrial design.


As the world is electrifying, electromagnetism drives this change by powering movement and producing clean energy. My client is building the deepest understanding and control of electromagnetism to deliver optimal physical and electrical designs. The immediate focus is to optimise the design and manufacture of electric motors, but the tools they are developing can be used within clean energy generation, aviation and robotics.


The successful Project Manager will be responsible for the coordination and delivery of multiple projects whilst leveraging internal software and machine learning technologies. This role requires strong project management skills, excellent communication skills and a solid understanding of software development processes.


Key Responsibilities for the role of Technical Project Manager will include:


Project Coordination: Manage the end-to-end delivery of multiple customer projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.

Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary point of contact for customers, understanding their needs, and ensuring their expectations are met or exceeded.

Feature Development: Collaborate with the software and machine learning development teams to prioritise and coordinate the development of new features required for customer projects.

Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure the successful delivery of projects.

Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance project delivery efficiency and effectiveness.


As the selected Technical Project Manager, your background will include:


Experience: Proven experience in project management role within software related products and/or machine learning.

Technical Skills: Strong understanding of software development processes and experience with project management tools.

Product development: The ability to participate and help with product management. Work alongside technical and commercial teams on market and customer research to help guide product development roadmaps.

Leadership: Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive project success in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering practical and innovative solutions.
