Job Title Hospital Cleaner / Domestic Assistant 📍 Location NHS Hospital Located in Ely, Cambridgeshire 🕒 Working Hours Monday - Friday 4am-8am 🎯 Key Responsibilities * Clean and disinfect patient rooms, operating theatres, waiting areas, and public spaces * Safely dispose of clinical and general waste * Replenish supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper * Follow infection control protocols and hygiene standards * Operate cleaning equipment (e.g., floor scrubbers, vacuum cleaners) * Report maintenance issues or hazards to supervisors * Maintain confidentiality and respect patient privacy 🧰 Required Skills & Attributes * Attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness * Ability to follow strict hygiene and safety procedures * Good time management and reliability * Physical stamina for manual tasks and standing for long periods * Teamwork and communication skills * Respectful and compassionate attitude in a healthcare setting 🎓 Qualifications & Experience * Must have a DBS check or be willing to pay for a basic DBS check * Previous cleaning experience (especially in healthcare) is advantageous * Training in infection control and COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) may be provided or required 💷 Salary & Benefits * £12.55 per hour * Pension scheme, paid holidays, uniform provided Tempor...
