AWS Connect Solution Architect - United Kingdom


About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced AWS Connect Solution Architect to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing scalable and robust contact center solutions using AWS Connect. You will work closely with clients, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions that enhance customer experience.


Key Responsibilities:


Solution Design & Architecture:

  • Design and architect contact center solutions using AWS Connect, integrating with other AWS services like Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, and others.
  • Develop end-to-end architectural solutions that align with client needs and business goals.
  • Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and adhere to best practices in cloud architecture.


Implementation & Integration:

  • Lead the deployment and configuration of AWS Connect environments, including IVR, routing, and reporting systems.
  • Integrate AWS Connect with other third-party applications and services such as CRM systems, AI-powered bots, and analytics platforms.
  • Automate and optimize the deployment process using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like CloudFormation or Terraform.


Technical Leadership:

  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams throughout the implementation lifecycle.
  • Conduct code reviews, ensure adherence to architectural standards, and mentor junior team members.
  • Collaborate with security teams to ensure compliance with data protection regulations and security standards.


Client Engagement:

  • Work closely with clients to gather and analyze requirements, propose solutions, and provide technical support during the project lifecycle.
  • Conduct workshops, presentations, and demonstrations to showcase the capabilities and benefits of AWS Connect.
  • Prepare detailed documentation including architecture diagrams, solution designs, and operational guides.


Continuous Improvement:

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest AWS services and features, particularly those related to AWS Connect and contact center technologies.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, cost optimization, and performance enhancement within the AWS Connect ecosystem.
  • Collaborate with AWS representatives and other third-party vendors to ensure the successful delivery of solutions.


Required Qualifications:


Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. AWS certification is a plus.


Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in cloud architecture with at least 3 years focused on AWS Connect and contact center solutions.
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing complex AWS solutions with a deep understanding of AWS services.


Technical Skills:

  • Strong proficiency in AWS Connect, including Contact Flows, Lambda integration, Lex bots, and reporting tools.
  • Hands-on experience with other AWS services such as IAM, S3, DynamoDB, CloudWatch, and Kinesis.
  • Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like CloudFormation, Terraform, or CDK.
  • Familiarity with networking concepts, security protocols, and compliance frameworks related to cloud environments.


Soft Skills:

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment, managing multiple priorities effectively.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional or equivalent certification.
  • Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Familiarity with other contact center platforms and tools, such as Genesys or Avaya.
