OpSec is the leading provider of brand protection, serving some of the most iconic Sports and Apparel brands around the world. We work across licensing and merchandising programs, apparel and footwear product lines, and live and on-demand sports media, to help optimize and safeguard rights and revenues. We are expanding quickly and are looking to add product marketing talent.



Position Summary & Objective

Senior Product Marketing Manager is a pivotal new role in taking our products and services to market in the Sports & Apparel industries, working with the biggest of sports global names. It is the focal point for planning and executing campaigns to pitch our propositions, articulate our solutions, and build our identity. The role will be responsible for specific product or service lines and associated industry verticals, working with the product management and sales teams to create and deliver clear brand communications. With the portfolio evolving rapidly, the orchestration of product launches for creative impact, sustained relevance, and commercial results will be an important aspect of this role.



Essential Functions Performed by the Position

  • Own and shape external releases of new customer propositions, in conjunction with product managers, and create messaging for key selling points/customer benefits.
  • Conceive, deliver and own strategic marketing campaigns, including product launches, events (physical and virtual), thought leadership, and public relations.
  • Create and maintain the campaign plan and calendar of associated activities and inputs, including the timing of any participation from sales and product teams.
  • Own the delivery of collateral and sales packs, including plans and format, agreeing priorities with sales/product teams, and overseeing outputs from content marketing.
  • Orchestrate and brief internal teams (sales, digital marketing) and external parties (PR/marketing agencies) to ensure successful participation in campaigns/events.
  • Instigate and shape thought leadership and research pieces to position OpSec in product/industry markets and associate it with key themes or technologies.
  • Play a key role in strategy execution and business transformation, including the development and launch of new solutions and customer engagement methods.



Competence and Experience


  • Excellent core marketing skillset with 8+ years in brand and/or product marketing within the sports & apparel industry or similar.
  • Experience of working in B2B environment, preferably in brand/business services
  • Robust knowledge of project/budget management and stakeholder reporting
  • Strong collaboration and influencing, used to working across multiple functions.
  • Highly organized and able to build effective project and campaign teams quickly
  • Strategic thinking, able to create clear propositions with differentiated messaging
  • Knowledge of events, digital and collateral, with a view of what “great” looks like
  • Experience of working with internal creative/content teams and external agencies


Required Education and Experience


  • Degree/college educated (ideally marketing/business) or equivalent qualifications
  • Experience of Pragmatic Marketing (or similar) frameworks would be desirable
  • Relevant certifications (project management, marcoms) would be beneficial
