Technical Insurance Copywriter (4-month contract)


We’re looking for a Technical Insurance Copywriter to join the Marketing Team at William Russell for a period of four months. The role is ‘technical’ in the sense that you’ll be writing about specialist insurance products.


The role - The objectives of the role are two-fold:

  1. We’re launching a new life insurance product. We have draft T&Cs for the new product. You will re-write the drafts in keeping with our tone of voice guide. There are two T&C documents: one for individuals purchasing life insurance, one for corporates purchasing life insurance for their employees.
  2. With the product understanding you’ll gain from completing the first objective, you’ll write webpages and collateral to market the new life insurance products. You can get an idea of our approach to website content by looking at our health insurance folder. The collateral we need ranges from flyers to printed brochures and complete technical guides.


About you- You’ll need more than 5 years’ experience as an insurance copywriting specialist, and you’ll need the skills to write insurance documents that are accessible to consumers and professional insurance intermediaries alike.


Your experience must include working with one or more UK-based insurance company offering personal insurance products (e.g., life, health, motor).


You must have an excellent command of the English language, and you must be fully conversant with Consumer Duty.
