Job Title: Infrastructure Architect

Location: Stoke – 5 days a week in the office

Salary: Up to £80,000

Eligibility for Security Clearance (SC)


F5 are delighted to be partnering with one of the fastest growing Technical Consultancies operating within the Defence Sector, helping them to expand their Infrastructure team.


They are seeking an Infrastructure Architect to join the company in a newly created role. The ideal candidate will be seasoned Infrastructure Engineer with in-depth design expertise in Windows Server OS, Microsoft Exchange, Virtualization, and Cloud Technologies.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing architecture solutions for medium to large-scale projects, particularly for Central Government, MoD, and major industry clients.
  • Leading system and service technical designs, making informed design decisions, and solving complex technical challenges.
  • Ensuring designs comply with data practices, regulatory standards, security frameworks, and best practices for highly secure government systems.
  • Experienced with TOGAF and similar architecture frameworks and methodologies.
  • Collaborating with project managers and engineers to ensure seamless transitions from design to delivery.


Experience Required:

  • Proven experience in designing highly secure on-premise IT Infrastructure
  • Experience in Networking (switching, Routing & Firewalls)
  • Windows Technologies (SharePoint, Exchange, Skype)
  • Knowledge of Secure by Design and Zero Trust Principles
  • Experience/Certification in TOGAF
  • Eligible for Security Clearance (SC)
