Are you a seasoned infrastructure expert with a passion for designing robust and secure IT systems? I am seeking an experienced Technical Architect (Infrastructure) to join our client’s dynamic team based in Stoke on Trent. This is a pivotal role within an innovative business that specializes in providing cutting-edge technology solutions to high-profile clients.


Key Responsibilities

  • Architectural Design: Design medium to large-scale infrastructure solutions for government and industry clients.
  • Technical Leadership: Lead the technical design of systems and services, communicate design decisions, and resolve complex technical challenges.
  • Compliance and Security: Ensure designs adhere to data practices, regulatory standards, and security frameworks relevant to highly secure government systems.
  • Requirements Management: Identify and capture non-functional requirements and integrate them into technical designs.
  • Standards Development: Shape and evolve technical standards and principles related to cloud, web, and applications by staying abreast of emerging trends and collaborating with partners and internal teams.


Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Certification: TOGAF version 9.2 or above is beneficial.
  • Experience: Proven experience in designing highly secure on-premise IT infrastructure.
  • Technical Expertise: Experience with technologies such as VMware, VxRail, Networks, SIEM, AntiVirus, PKI/HSM, Cross Domain Gateways, IDAM/RBAC/ABAC/MFA, Windows Technologies, High Grade Crypto.
  • Design Principles: Knowledge of Secure by Design and Zero Trust Principles is beneficial.
  • Defence Sector: Experience working in a Defence setting is advantageous.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce high-quality documentation.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with both technical and non-technical colleagues and suppliers.
  • Security Clearance: UK Security Check (SC) clearance is required. Candidates must possess or be eligible to obtain SC clearance, with a view to obtaining UK Developed Vetting (DV) as required.
