Job Title: Technical EstimatorLocation: GloucestershireType: Full-time, PermanentSalary: £35-40K depending experience + bonus

Position Overview:We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Technical Estimator to join our growing team. The Technical Estimator will be responsible for producing accurate and timely cost estimates for specific projects. This role will be primarily office-based, but the successful candidate will also conduct site surveys across the UK as required - mainly in London. Ideally, the candidate will have prior experience in the construction/building/electrical industry or from a fire alarm background.Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience:
    • Previous experience in a related field (e.g., fire alarms) is highly desirable.
    • Experience in technical estimating, project costing, or a related role.
  • Technical Knowledge:
    • Strong understanding of ventilation systems, fire alarm systems, or other building safety systems.
    • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics and specifications.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to identify potential challenges and propose effective solutions.
  • IT Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with estimation software or tools.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to travel to project sites for surveys and assessments as needed.
