A leading UK law firm is seeking a senior practice development lawyer (PDL) to join its highly respected Employment team in Edinburgh or Glasgow. This is a rare opportunity for an experienced employment lawyer to step into a strategic, innovative and client-facing role that sits at the heart of knowledge, training and legal service development.The OpportunityThe successful candidate will work closely with employment lawyers and clients across the UK, helping shape how the team delivers insight, knowhow and forward-thinking legal solutions. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys strategic thinking, collaboration and influencing how legal services evolve.You will be involved in:Tracking key legal and market developments and sharing timely, commercially focused insightsDesigning and delivering high-quality training for lawyers and clientsDeveloping innovative tools, resources and knowledge productsLeading strategic knowledge projects and contributing to firm wide initiativesWorking with legal tech and advanced delivery teams to improve processes and client serviceSupporting client teams with thought leadership, horizon scanning and policy insightsBuilding strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external clientsAbout YouThe firm welcomes applications from experienced employment lawyers with:8+ years’ PQE in UK employment lawStrong technical skills and confidence with complex advisory workExperience engaging directly with clientsAn interest in innovation, modern legal delivery and shaping best practiceExcellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with senior stakeholdersA proactive approach, with the confidence to lead and drive ideas forwardPrevious PDL experience is not required.What’s on OfferA supportive and collaborative national PDL communityHigh levels of autonomy and meaningful ownership of projectsHybrid workingAccess to strong professional development, training and leadership supportInvolvement in strategic client work, including major employers and household namesThis is an excellent opportunity for an experienced employment lawyer who enjoys strategy, innovation and knowledge-led practice to take on a key role within a top-tier employment offering.Keen to learn more?
