Location: Gatwick Head Office (Crawley)

Compensation:£30-£35k + Performance Bonus + 20 Days Paid Holiday

Background:


Simple Company is the owner of one of fastest-growing global sports nutrition brands STYRKR. We are an ambitious brand with a budding e-commerce team of dedicated A-Players, based just outside of Gatwick in West Sussex. Over the last few years, we’ve been building various brands, D2C and B2B models in order to fulfil our vision of global domination. As of now our brands are currently sold and distributed across the UK, USA, EU and Asia with many more countries quickly joining us on our ride around the world.


We’ve been making changes to our long-term strategy in order to drive efficient expansion of our D2C channel. We are crushing the competition, and require an Email & Retention Specialist with experience using Klaviyo to spearhead our email and customer retention strategy. This includes both our global D2C and B2B customer databases.


Reporting directly to our Performance & Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for the development and execution of effective retention strategies to stimulate growth and maintain our customer databases across all platforms and channels. We are looking for a data-driven, strategic thinker with strong communication skills, a proven track record and a creative flair. Proven experience in delivering significant revenue growth through retention related activities and campaigns is paramount to this position.


On a day-to-day basis, you will have complete autonomy in formulating our brands’ retention strategies to achieve revenue growth, hit KPIs, and smash through our targets. Creating the best converting automated flows, defining the most powerful segments, and delivering high-end email marketing campaigns for the brand will be part of your daily job. You’ll be using powerful analytical and reporting tools to ensure every decision you make is data-driven with forecastable results.

Main Accountabilities:


  • Strategising, building, and executing aggressive retention strategies and brand campaigns for our channels and brands to improve customer engagement and retention rates.
  • Analysing consumer behaviour and creating powerful data-driven flows and segments to promote growth.
  • Delivering high-end email marketing and personalised campaigns that resonate with our various customer segments.
  • Full ownership of reactivation, loyalty, and subscription schemes. 
  • Ensuring customer retention and profitability targets are hit.
  • Analyse email performance metrics, customer segmentation, and behavioural data to identify opportunities for optimisation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate retention efforts into overall marketing campaigns.
  • Implement A/B testing to refine email content, subject lines, and delivery times for optimal results.
  • Improving our internal process and uphold our commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with the marketing, product, creative and customer service teams to ensure alignment in achieving growth objectives.
  • Build and maintain relationships with external partners, including ad networks, agencies, and marketing technology vendors.
  • Monitor industry trends and best practices in email marketing to ensure the company remains at the forefront of effective retention strategies.
  • Stay informed about data privacy regulations and compliance to ensure all email campaigns adhere to legal standards.
  • Work closely with the Growth Manager to align on activity and progress. 


Success in 6 months:


  • Have a proven performance record including increased customer retention, LTV, revenue and profitability through a clearly defined and robustly executed retention strategy. 
  • Increasing database engagement and month-on-month retention revenue growth all while maintaining target profit margins.
  • Delivering impactful data and reports.
  • Have implemented a successful reactivation, loyalty, and subscription scheme for each channel. 
  • The Performance & Marketing Manager is overheard saying to the HOG/GM, “The new Email Retention Specialist is smashing it, we’d never have been able to grow this much in such a short space of time without them…”


Success in 12 months:


  • Have an immaculate track record in driving results for each of our e-commerce channels.
  • Have grown revenue significantly for each responsible channel through an effective retention strategy which can be considered quantitatively through automated flow, segments and marketing campaigns growth. 
  • Be in a position where you have enough data to create a long term strategy with forecastable results.
  • Have played a key role in implementing new processes or technologies within the Company that have improved client satisfaction and profitability;
  • Significant growth in revenue from implemented reactivation, loyalty, and subscription schemes. 


Success in 24 months:


  • You will have mastered your retention strategy which has had a significant measurable impact upon the profitability of our global E-commerce channels.
  • Have played an integral part in elevating Simple Company brands to some of the biggest players in the D2C and B2B sports nutrition field and a recognised name in the e-commerce industry;
  • Have implemented a handful of new processes or technologies that have forever changed the way we do things for the better
  • With your contribution, Simple Company has seen unprecedented growth and is achieving operational excellence as an e-commerce channel.
  • Unprecedented growth in customer reactivation, loyalty, and subscription schemes. Customers are raving about our revolutionary loyalty schemes.
  • Have mastered the creative side of the brands and are able to successfully adapt and create on trend content quickly without support.

Experience & skills:


  • Proven experience 3 years in email marketing, with a focus on retention strategies.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and derive actionable insights.
  • Fluent understanding of the Klaviyo email marketing platform, marketing automation tools, and CRM systems
  • Strong understanding and experience in reactivation, loyalty, and subscription schemes.
  • Strong analytical skills with a deep understanding of growth marketing metrics and LTV/CAC calculations.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to evolving industry trends and technology.
