Frontline Recruitment Derby Ltd are seeking a skilled Manual Machinist to join our clients experienced team based 10 minutes out of Derby City Centre.As a Manual Machinist, you will be responsible for operating manual machines to produce precision parts according to specifications. This is a hands-on role that requires a strong mechanical mind, machine operation and the ability to work with various tools and equipment.Duties:- Set up and operate manual machines such as lathes, and grinders to produce required parts. Further Training will be provided to work to company standard.- Perform machining operations including drilling, turning and grinding- Inspect finished parts for quality and make necessary adjustments- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with machines or tools- Maintain a clean and organized work areaExperience:- Previous experience as a Manual Machinist or in a similar role- Proficiency in operating manual machines such as lathes and grinders, mechanically minded with basic mathsWorking Hours:Working a double day shift fortnightly rotationDays 06:00 -14:30 Monday-FriAfternoons 14:00 -22:30 Mon-Thurs with Friday offThere may be opportunities to work nights in the future if desired.40 Hour week paid £13 ph + SA, + overtime at Time and a half and double time during busy periods.We offer competitive pay based on experience and skills plus overtime and bonus.
