In this role, you will be working on some of the best products in the industry across major aero engine projects. As a machine operator, you will be responsible for delivering against weekly targets to meet customer requirements. You will also work with cross functional teams to implement and sustain improvement activities within our manufacturing environment.

**What you will be doing**:
Working as part of the team, you will contribute to the business objectives of delivering Engines for our customers on time and to a high specification. You will:

- Deliver consistent, high-quality machining across a variety of different aerospace engine components and engine product families.
- Work to Rolls-Royce’s Technical Instructions and program manuals.
- Operate a variety of inspection equipment, including machine probing, micrometers, plug gauges.
- Interpretation of manufacturing drawings, customer drawings and written specifications.
- Assessment of whether the quality of components produced within the facility meets the required standards.
- Work within a team to effectively resolve quality issues and ensure your work is being completed to plan.

- Completed an advanced level engineering apprenticeship* and an NVQ/SVQ/City & Guilds Level 3 or equivalent.
- Experienced in machining/inspecting Aerospace components.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Awareness of health, safety and environmental procedures and regulations in a production setting.
- Ability to operate safely and deal with any discrepancies or issues while following correct procedures.
- Ability to inspect components with a high level of complexity.
