In this role you will be expected to have the leadership and project management skills required to lead medium to large scale infrastructure applications and security projects consisting of IT and functional business area resources located around the world. Ability to direct inspire and guide teams to successful execution. You will also be expected to understand and apply advanced processes and methods used with an IT organisation to support the project management methodology lifecycle. As the IT Project Manager your role is to plan execute and finalise projects according to strict deadlines and budgets in a matrix environment. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants to deliver projects according to plan. You will also define the projects tasks and oversee quality control throughout the project lifecycle.Please note this is an 18 month FTC.A few of our employee benefits are:Hybrid working where possible three days onsite per weekFlexible or part-time working arrangements considered upon request25 days holiday per year (plus bank holidays) increasing with long service and with the opportunity to buy/sell up to 5 days Private medical insurance with optional family coverPension scheme of up to 7% employer contributionLife Assurance 4x salary (flexible up to 10x) Group income protectionFlexible opt-in extras such as a health care cash plan dental insurance gym membership critical illness cover and cycle to work schemeEmployee assistance program providing mental health and wellbeing support Professional membership reimbursement (discretionary) What the role will involveThe responsibilities of your role will include the following:Develop full-scale project plans timelines and associated communications documents to effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashionDirect and manage project development from initiating to closing through management of scope time cost quality resources communications risks changes and issuesProvide subject matter experience in managing infrastructure network security and firewall projectsDevelop and deliver status reports proposals requirements documentation and presentationsProactively manage changes in project scope identify potential crises and devise contingency plansInitiate and oversee all aspects of vendor management including the development of the Statement of Work and all aspects of communications and deliveryHelp facilitate Portfolio Management process working with management and business to understand project priority resourcing and planningDefine project scope goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholdersCoach mentor motivate and encourage project team members and contractors and influence them to take proactive action and accountability for their assigned workWhat youll bringThe role requires the following experience and skills:Minimum 5 years experience within a project management focused role Strong familiarity with project management software such as Microsoft Project and/or Project Online Strong interpersonal skills combined with experience of managing relationships at all levels of the business.Excellent written and verbal communication skills that are customer oriented.APMP Project Management Qualification (PMQ) or Prince 2 Practitioner preferred Familiarity with PMIs Project Management Methodology Software Development Lifecycle and Agile/Scrum Framework preferredImportant to knowDue to the nature of our work many our roles require a UK nationality and the ability to obtain a security clearance.
