This Senior Technical Coordinator opportunity is with a Yorkshire based developer boasting a phenomenal culture and significant growth over the past two years, where the focus is on delivering exceptional customer experiences and journeys over exceeding company targets.


In this Senior Technical Coordinator role, you’ll manage crucial pre-design and pre-construction activities, including topographical surveys, utility traces, and site investigations. You'll also coordinate with external agencies to develop effective remediation and earthworks strategies.


If you are currently a Technical Coordinator or Architectural Technologist with the relevant skills looking for your next venture as Senior Technical Coordinator, you will collaborate closely with a dynamic team, liaising with utilities, local authorities, and NHBC to ensure build programs and site budgets are on track. Your innovative ideas on enhancing processes will be highly valued as continuous improvement is a priority.


The package


  • Up to £70,000 remuneration (inclusive of car allowance and depending on experience)

The Senior Technical Coordinator role


  • Manage external consultants for road, sewer, and foundation designs, ensuring timely technical approvals and adherence to project plans.
  • Commission pre-design surveys, including topographical, utility traces, and site investigations.
  • Review designs for constructability, cost-effectiveness, regulatory compliance, and aesthetic suitability.
  • Distribute drawings and information to internal and external parties for pre-tender/pre-start meetings and build schedules.
  • Oversee all pre-construction engineering activities, including remediation, earthworks, and road/sewer construction.
  • Negotiate, procure, and coordinate utility contracts and street lighting to align with build programs and budgets.
  • Liaise with local authorities and NHBC to discharge development conditions and secure necessary approvals and adoptions.


The person


  • MEng, BEng or HNC in Civil Engineering (essential)
  • Industry experience of working on residential housing estate developments (essential)
  • Technical Coordinator, Engineering or Architectural Technologist backgrounds considered providing you have managed and ran your own schemes
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to manage own projects and multitask
  • Ability to undertake feasibility and technical studies
  • Flexible and willing to spend time in other offices and sites
  • Ability and experience using AutoCAD (essential)
  • Full UK driving licence (essential)
  • Previous experience of designing road and drainage schemes in accordance with S38, S278 and S104 agreements (desirable)
