QUALITY ENGINEER CMB Recruitment is working with a long established and market-leading manufacturing company based in North Down which is seeking an experienced Quality Engineer. Reporting to the Operations Manager the Quality Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the Quality function, maintaining product quality and suggesting improvements. This is an excellent opportunity with potential to develop into a Quality Manager role. THE ROLE Responsible for maintaining the quality of raw materials in and finished product through continuous improvement of operational processes, systems and standards. Liaise closely with current and future suppliers, quickly identifying and resolving any quality issues through swift interaction, including supplier site audits. Investigate and resolve all customer quality complaints. Maintain and improve the Quality Management System Provide management with monthly quality data always ensuring ISO 9000 compliance. THE PERSON A minimum of 3 years Quality experience within a fast-paced manufacturing environment Hold a relevant Engineering qualification (Minimum HND) or have significant demonstrable practical experience. 2 years auditing experience, with a recognised auditing qualification desirable A Lean Management qualification is desirable but not essential. Excellent communication skills bot verbal and written. Strong IT skills, in particular Excel. SALARY Our client is offering a highly competitive salary and benefits package to attract candidates of the highest quality. The role is Monday-Friday day shift with a lunchtime finish on Friday.
