Responsibilities:
* Continuous improvement of operational processes & systems, SOP's and quality standards to improve product quality and reduce COPQ costs.
* Investigation of all customer quality complaints including liaising with internal teams, customers and suppliers to establish root causes and implementation of appropriate countermeasure actions.
* Lead and support structured problem solving teams to bring customer, internal & supplier quality issues to conclusion.
* Compilation of quality CAPA (8D) reports on non-conforming products or information received from customer complaints / warranty product reviews, internal quality and supplier quality concerns.
* Maintenance of all Quality Management System documents, record sheets, Quality Alerts & registers.
* Maintenance of the entire calibration system including arrange & conduct gauge calibration in-house and with external vendors, databases and KPI.
* Monthly data measurement & analysis and maintenance of Quality Assurance KPI's and Dashboard reports for monthly management meetings.
* Conduct Quality Assurance visits at customers sites and Quality Performance audits at supplier sites.
* Ensure ongoing compliance with ISO 9001, NSF, SK and Conflict Minerals standards and regulations and liaise with customers in relation to all enquiries.
* Preparation for bi-annual BSI audits, NSF and customer audits.
* Implementation and monitoring of internal audit schedule, conduct internal audits and ensure all other auditors complete audits in a timely manner.
* Participation in Management Review of the Quality System meetings.
* Continual advice and assessment of product quality based on planned & ad hoc QC inspections on incoming goods, production WIP and finished goods and produce relevant QC Reports.
Person spec:
Education
Qualifications · GCSE Maths, English · HND minimum requirement · Yellow/Green Belt certification or similar
Experience and Knowledge
At least 4 years’ experience in quality management/quality engineering capacity within a fast paced, highly pressurised manufacturing facility
At least 2 years’ working knowledge of ISO9000 · Working knowledge of operating procedures within a manufacturing environment
At least 2 years’ experience in Internal Auditing (ability to drive process and carry out audits also) ·
Ability to collaborate with teams to manage projects and present findings ​​​​​​ Knowledge of communicating with suppliers and able to complete external supplier audits
Use of Excel to run reports for use in analysis of data and trends for improvement
