Are you someone who takes pride in getting the details right — especially when it comes to people’s pay? We’re looking for a Payroll Officer who can manage our end-to-end payroll process with accuracy, care, and a collaborative approach.In this role, you’ll make sure everyone gets paid correctly and on time, keep us compliant with all payroll legislation, and work closely with teams across the organisation to keep our data and systems running smoothly. You’ll also help us spot opportunities to improve how we do things and make payroll simpler and more efficient for everyone involved.What You’ll Be DoingRunning the full payroll cycle, from start to finishChecking rota and timesheet data and sorting out any discrepanciesMaintaining up-to-date payroll records for new starters, leavers, and any changesPosting payroll transactions and reconciling accountsMaking sure we meet all HMRC and pension reporting requirementsSupporting audits and staying up to date with payroll legislationWorking with the People Team to ensure payroll and HR data align perfectlyAnswering payroll and pension queries and helping colleagues understand their payslips and deductionsLooking for ways to streamline our processes and make continuous improvementsWhat We’re Looking ForSolid experience in payroll processing and administrationA strong understanding of UK payroll legislationConfident using payroll and accounting software (Sage Payroll or similar is a bonus)Meticulous attention to detail and a knack for solving problemsGreat communication skills and a collaborative attitudeA commitment to confidentiality and data protectionIt’s a plus if you also have:Knowledge of accounting principlesExperience supporting audits or financial reportingFamiliarity with rota and timesheet systemsExperience working in care or support services💡 If you’re organised, proactive, and ready to make a real impact in a role that keeps everything (and everyone) running smoothly, we’d love to hear from you.
