We’re looking for a detail-orientated AV Commissioning Engineer to join our team and drive the successful deployment of our software solutions.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Commissioning of AV Systems: Configure and set up AV systems in meeting and board rooms, classrooms, lecture theatres, auditoria and multi-function rooms.
  • Device Configuration: Work with a variety of devices from different AV vendors, ensuring they are correctly configured and ready for client use.
  • DSP Commissioning: Set up and optimise DSP systems – including precise EQ and audio configuration – on platforms like Qsys and Biamp to deliver high-quality sound tailored to each environment.
  • Control System Integration: Load and test control system software such as Crestron, Qsys and AMX, ensuring they perform as intended in real-world settings.
  • Debugging and Reporting: Identify and troubleshoot issues during testing and commissioning, providing detailed feedback to the programming team for software adjustments and improvements.
  • Client and Integrator Collaboration: Work closely with clients and AV integrators to ensure that system functionality aligns with project specifications and client expectations. Facilitate clear communication and coordination among all parties to ensure a smooth project delivery and seamless user experience.

 

Qualifications and Skills

  • Experience: Proven experience in AV system commissioning, particularly in software-driven environments.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of audio setup, DSP configuration and EQ techniques, with the ability to tune systems to high standards. Experience with Qsys and Biamp DSP platforms and AVoIP in general is essential.

Required:

  • Crestron: CTI-P201 level, AV over IP, DM NVX/NAX/NUX
  • Qsys: Level 2 and Qsys Control certifications
  • Biamp: Tesira online self-paced courses and Practical Principles instructor-led courses

Desirable:

  • Software programming knowledge in Simpl, Simpl+, C#, Lua, HTML5 & Javascript.
  • CTS-I
  • ANP
  • Dante Certification

 

Skills

  • Problem-Solving: Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to provide clear, detailed feedback on software functionality.
  • Communication Skills: Effective communication skills to liaise with the programming team and deliver accurate system reports.
  • Attention to Detail: High standards of accuracy and quality, especially in software testing and reporting.
  • Flexibility for Travel: While based in London, this role requires international travel to meet client needs and ensure project success.
