This role ensures reliable secure and scalable environments across development testing staging and production while enabling efficient software delivery through automation tooling and collaboration with engineering and QA teams.Release ManagementOwn and manage end-to-end release processes across multiple environmentsCoordinate release schedules cutovers and deployment windows with engineering and QA teamsImplement release automation and rollback strategies for safe deploymentsMaintain release documentation runbooks and change logsSDLC Environment ManagementDesign provision and maintain environments for development testing staging and productionEnsure environment consistency configuration management and version alignmentTroubleshoot environment-related issues and coordinate resolution across teamsImplement environment monitoring and health checksAutomation & ToolingDevelop and maintain automation scripts for environment provisioning and release workflowsIntegrate release and environment processes into CI/CD pipelinesWork with tools like Azure DevOps GitHub Actions Jenkins and Octopus DeployMaintain infrastructure-as-code templates for environment setup (Terraform Bicep)Security & Access ControlImplement RBAC and access policies across environmentsEnsure secure handling of secrets credentials and environment variablesCollaborate with security teams to enforce compliance and audit readinessMonitoring & SupportSet up monitoring and alerting for environment stability and release healthLead incident response during release failures or environment outagesContinuously improve release and environment reliability through root cause analysisTeam Leadership & CollaborationLead a small team of environment and release engineersCollaborate with developers QA SREs and platform teams to align delivery goalsMentor junior engineers and contribute to best practices and standardsWhat to expect when you join our firmHybrid working and reasonable accommodationsGenerous Holiday policiesExcellent Health and Wellbeing benefits including corporate membership to ClassPassPaid volunteer time to step away from your desk and into the communitySupport to grow through professional development courses tuition/qualification reimbursement and moreMaternal/paternal leave benefits and family servicesComplimentary subscription to Headspace the mindfulness appAll employee events including networking opportunities and social activitiesLunch allowance for use within our subsidized onsite canteenMust have skillsBachelors or Masters in Computer Science Engineering or related field7 years of experience in release engineering environment management or DevOpsStrong hands-on experience with Azure DevOps GitHub CI/CD and scripting (PowerShell Bash Python)Deep understanding of SDLC environment lifecycle and deployment strategiesExperience with IaC tools (Terraform Bicep) and release automation frameworksFamiliarity with cloud platforms (Azure preferred) RBAC & secure delivery practicesNice to have skillsExperience with containerized environments (Kubernetes Docker)Exposure to service virtualization and test data managementKnowledge of ITIL or change management processesStrong troubleshooting and incident management skillsSupervisory responsibilitiesTBDPotential for growthMentoringLeadership development programsRegular trainingCareer development servicesContinuing education coursesCross functional collaborationYou will be expected to understand the regulatory obligations of the firm and abide by the regulated entity requirements and JHI policies applicable for your role.At Janus Henderson Investors were committed to an inclusive and supportive environment.
