An exciting opportunity has become available for an Operations Manager at our sister company, Mega Trucking Company Ltd (“MTC”) which are the “Own wheels” division of the Ewals group in the UK.


The ideal candidate will have an ability to create and maintain an efficient system of operation to support the business needs. You should be comfortable multitasking and working cross-functionally with different business units. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in related fields.

Key Responsibilities, but not limited:-


  • Establish and maintain business standards for accuracy, productivity and reliability
  • Manage the daily functions of the business
  • Manage budget to align with goals of business
  • Overseeing the day-to-day operation to ensure that the stringent demands of clients are met
  • Liaising with Ewals Cargo Care counterparts the efficiency and quality of our organisation ("One Ewals)
  • Liaising with MTC Transport Manager (who has overall responsibility for fleet, technical aspects, premises, driver recruitment & training) to maximise the efficiency of our fleet and quality of our organisation (One Ewals)
  • Controlling driver holiday authorisation to optimise availability of our fleet
  • Recruitment of office staff when need arises.
  • Supporting disciplinary procedures as required
  • Controlling office staffing (holidays and shift patterns) to ensure the requirements of the business are met
  • Prepare annual performance review and reevaluate processes
  • Ensure regulatory, compliance and legal rules are followed
  • Motivate, coach and manage staff. Drive high levels of professionalism & quality
  • Promote our group DEI policy, including promoting a friendly team focused workplace


Qualifications


  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Strong ability to multitask
  • Comfort working with multiple groups within business
  • CPC qualified and be named on our Operating Licenses


Hours of work: 45 hours per week
