We are involved with all legal matters relating to conflicts, ethics, engagement terms and business intake; compliance with law and legal requirements in all of our jurisdictions; interactions with regulators; general firm policies; risk management and matters affecting the reputation of the firm; and legal issues in the business of the firm such as contracts and agreements.Role OverviewThis position is responsible for working closely with the firm's General Counsel, Legal Ethics Committee, firm attorneys, and other levels of firm administration as well as other members of the Conflicts and Compliance department in connection with the review and drafting of client engagement terms, outside counsel guidelines, and related documents.EssentialKey Responsibilities / Accountabilities Responsible for review of client engagement terms, and other documents / contracts as assigned, to facilitate approval from firm management including the firm's General Counsel and Legal Ethics Committee.Assist Manager and Supervisor in serving as a key point of contact for client engagement terms and questions for Hogan Lovells attorneys and assistants as well as other business services departments.Assist Managers and Conflicts Analysts in the identification, resolution and clearance of conflicts of interest issues in connection with client engagement terms.Specific duties or responsibilities may be reviewed from time to time to reflect changes in personnel and management structure, staff location or services.All members of the firm participate in our Responsible Business program.Person Specification Qualifications And TrainingAt least 2 - 3 years of legal experience preferred.Previous experience reviewing and drafting contracts preferred.3E and Intapp experience a plus.Conflicts analysis and resolution experience.General AttributesWorks well independently.Good verbal and written communication.Supportive of Firm’s administrative processes and procedures; and department’s processes and procedures.Ability to multi-task and work under tight deadlines.Strict attention to detail.Ability to anticipate and solve procedural problems.Must have strong organisational, analytical and writing skills.Agile Working Statement Our goal is to embed flexibility across our business by giving everyone the opportunity to work in an agile way, whether as a regular pattern or on an ad hoc basis, and we will be happy to discuss this further.Equal Opportunities Employment Statement It is the policy of Hogan Lovells to provide equal opportunities for all employees in relation to recruitment, training and promotion.
