The role of OC Station Support Flight provides a vital output in support of the Base Support Squadron. The post primarily focusses on the management of the Accommodation Cell and their output, but it also has a key coordination and communication role across BSS, straddling accommodation, establishments, parenting and postal services in a customer facing role. The successful applicant will provide Line Management to the Accommodation Cell and Postal Services team and the station Admin Support Assistant who all have vital roles at RAF High Wycombe.

This position is advertised at 37 hours per week.

Job description

OC Station Support Flight will:

Provide line management and oversight of the Accommodation Cell Team, and management of the tasks for which they are responsible, including managing waiting lists, non-availability Certificates and March-In and Out of Single Living AccommodationBe responsible for the configuration and co-ordination of the Establishments process across the 3 sites in support of OC Base Support Squadron and engage with the Office Moves process.Provide line management and oversight of the Postal Services team and the Station Admin Support Assistant and management of the tasks for which they are responsible.Assisting with the maintenance of an open and collaborative working relationship with the Change Management Board.Maintain and review the RAF Hight Wycombe Parenting StatementAct as the focal point for collation and communication of feedback and updates into and out of Base Support Squadron. Carry out such other reasonable tasks as directed by OC Base Support Squadron.

Where business needs allow, some roles may be suitable for a combination of office and home-based working.� This is a non-contractual arrangement where all office-based employees will be expected to spend a minimum of 60% of their working time in office, subject to capacity and any required workplace adjustments. Requirements to attend other locations for official business, or work in another MOD office, will also count towards this level of attendance. The post does not offer relocation expenses.

External recruits who join the MOD who are new to the Civil Service will be subject to a six-month probation period.
