About the role
As the Fleet Servicing HSE Advisor at RWE Renewables you will be responsible for providing independent, expert and professional advice and guidance to the Fleet Servicing Team and it's line management team on all health, safety and environmental issues.

You will support the Fleet Servicing Team to implement high standards of proactive and continual improvement 'We Care' ethos, including initiatives in behavioural safety, wellbeing and sustainability to ensure a positive impact on the team members.
Its important to engage and develop relationships with operational teams to eliminate and reduce risks, develop HSE culture for the Fleet Servicing Team and adherence to HSE standards and rules.

Your responsibilities
  • Liaising with internal and external departments to ensure contractors are suitably selected, engaged and monitored for health, safety and environmental performance.
  • Produce, review, update and implement health, safety and environment related documentation required by the allocated offshore operations site and the Fleet Servicing team as directed by Head of HSE Offshore Operations or required by the HSE function.
  • Contribute towards and deliver on annual key performance indicators, goals and targets for the Fleet Servicing Team and wider business.
  • Carrying out regular workplace inspections on- and offshore as required.
  • Planning, running and recording feedback on emergency response drills.
  • Attend meetings, site visits and technology reviews with subcontractors & clients in relation to offshore operations as directed by the Head of HSE Offshore Operations and/or Team Lead HSE Offshore Operations for United Kingdom (UK) and Continental Europe (CE).
  • Build strong working relationships especially with the service team and the management.
  • Support offshore operations teams to ensure there is visible HSE leadership and commitment from within the teams, develop and promote an excellent HSE culture under the We Care banner.
  • Collaborate with the operational sites to create a bridging HSE management system for the Fleet Servicing Team to align with the sites management systems.
  • Drive implementation of a sound incident (incl. near miss and observations) reporting culture. Monitor and submit incident statistics and relevant KPIs. Conduct trend analysis on incidents, develop and discuss lessons learnt from site incidents with relevant stakeholders.
  • Ensuring HSE data is collated and reported to RWE Offshore Wind and contribute towards governance reporting on HSE where applicable.
  • Drive implementation of the RWE Offshore Wind contractor engagement and contract management standards to ensure high HSE standards when contractors conduct work.


Role Requirements
  • NEBOSH Certificate, ideally working towards a NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent level.
  • IEMA Foundation Certificate in Environmental Management or equivalent.
  • Experience in developing, implementing and maintaining a certifiable HSE Management System.
  • Ability to build effective working relationships with stakeholders at all levels through verbal and written communication including active listening skills.
  • Experience as HSE professional in Offshore Wind including good knowledge of offshore wind O&M phase such as servicing, work packages reviews, lifting operations, environmental factors and Offshore logistics to name a few.
  • Experience in behavioural safety techniques and delivering behavioural safety training would be desirable.
  • Be able to demonstrate a flexible, practical and proactive approach to managing operational HSE challenges.
  • To have effective organisational skills, reliable, systematic, proactive and pragmatic approach. Able to work under pressure and team oriented.
  • Ability to act with sensitivity and discretion, respecting confidentiality at all times.
  • The individual will be expected to regularly work on the Service Operations Vessel which will include offshore overnight stays.
  • Good written and spoken English.
  • Good health, with general all round fitness to work in an offshore environment is a requirement for the role.
  • Experience of renewable technologies and mechanical, electrical and technical systems, process engineering and advising on HSE technical matters relating to these.
  • GWO BST certification would be desirable.
  • Strong Microsoft and IT skills.
  • Driving licence.
