Job Description

Purpose of the role

To verify the accuracy, reliability, and soundness of the bank's analytical models by independently validating and assuring the quality of models.

Accountabilities
  • Development and implementation of validation plans for new and existing models.
  • Preparation of model documentation that clearly explains the model's methodology, assumptions, limitations, and risks.
  • Development and implementation of ongoing monitoring frameworks to ensure continued model accuracy and effectiveness, ensuring appropriate controls and governance in place.
  • Analysis and assessment of the model's accuracy, performance, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Performing back testing and stress testing to assess model robustness under different conditions.

  • Consult on complex issues; providing advice to People Leaders to support the resolution of escalated issues.
  • Identify ways to mitigate risk and developing new policies/procedures in support of the control and governance agenda.
  • Take ownership for managing risk and strengthening controls in relation to the work done.
  • Perform work that is closely related to that of other areas, which requires understanding of how areas coordinate and contribute to the achievement of the objectives of the organisation sub-function.
  • Collaborate with other areas of work, for business aligned support areas to keep up to speed with business activity and the business strategy.
  • Engage in complex analysis of data from multiple sources of information, internal and external sources such as procedures and practises (in other areas, teams, companies, etc).to solve problems creatively and effectively.
  • Communicate complex information. 'Complex' information could include sensitive information or information that is difficult to communicate because of its content or its audience.
  • Influence or convince stakeholders to achieve outcomes.

As an Automated Tester Test Analyst you will be contributing to various financial crime platform tools, components and platform enhancements to provide cutting edge solutions. You will participate in and drive analysis, design, implementation, automated testing, deployment and devops support of these solutions. Your main focus will be to assure quality of releasing components during development cycle by analysing, designing and implementing automated integration tests. You will get the opportunity to utilize or increase your knowledge of Financial Crime and the systems used to support the business area.

To be successful as an Automated Tester Test Analyst , you should have experience with

- Hands-on experience with QA and QA automation domain

- Expertise in automation of integration tests using languages like Java or Scala

- SCRUM and Kanban agile methodologies experience, including tooling - Jira or AgileCentral

- Behavioral Driven Development - preferably Cucumber or jBehave frameworks

- Working knowledge of Linux environment and basic shell scripting

Some other highly valued skills may include

- Experience with any of the following or similar tools - Selenium, REST API testing, SQL

- Cloud Technology knowledge such as AWS or Openshift

- Knowledge in Investment bank or Correspondent Banking AML Transaction Monitoring
