We’re seeking a talented individual to join our Private Client Tax team in Bristol.

This role will provide tax compliance and advisory services for a wide range of private clients - individuals, trusts, private companies, and family offices.

Key Responsibilities

As a Private Client Tax Assistant Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Responsible for a portfolio of clients which may include sole traders, partners, HNWIs, non-UK domiciliaries, non-UK residents, partnerships, and trusts.
  • Identifying possible advisory opportunities for the clients.
  • Providing exceptional client service and maintaining regular contact with the client team.
  • Acute awareness of what other parts of the firm can do to encourage cross-referrals.
  • Ensuring Evelyn Partners procedures are followed, taking account of institute and HMRC guidance, where relevant.
  • Ensuring department KPIs are met around chargeable hours, billing, and recovery targets.
Qualifications
  • Ability to plan workload to prioritize work and meet conflicting deadlines.
  • Good written communication skills to draft correspondence with clients and HMRC to explain technical issues clearly.
  • Good inter-personal skills to liaise with clients and other staff members.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and respond to client needs.
  • Ability to supervise staff members and support Directors.
Experience and Skills
  • Experience gained within a professional services firm.
  • Good knowledge of personal tax compliance and ideally some exposure to planning/advisory work.
