We have an exciting opportunity to join a Family Hub Team within Nottinghamshire. This is a great time to join our team as locally we are transforming our Children’s Centre Service into Family Hub Networks. Our work with children 0-5 years remains part of our core offer and we will be expanding our service to offer 0 - 18 years.

West Mansfield Family Hub are looking to recruit to a part-time Family Support Worker, on a fixed term contract for 18 months.

You will join a committed family support team. This role will involve visiting families within their home, community venues and facilitating/supporting a variety of centre led groups and interventions.

You must have a NVQ 3 in Childcare or equivalent with experience and sound knowledge in the following areas:

Experience of safeguarding children and vulnerable adults Excellent knowledge of child development and awareness of the importance of early attachments Experience of working in diverse communities and the ability to work in a non-discriminatory way Awareness of the importance of working in partnership with a range of agencies Minimum of two years experience of working with children 0-5 and their families in home visiting and group settings Excellent communication skills, report writing, assessment skills and record keeping and IT skills Able to maintain confidentiality.
