Personal Assistants (Support Workers) have the most important role within Enable by making a positive difference every day to the lives of the people we support. No two days are the same for our Personal Assistants but what we can guarantee is that you will be supporting someone with a learning disability to achieve their goals and outcomes – whatever they may be
Each person we support has different support needs, so your role as Support Worker may include assisting them with various aspects of personal care, moving and handling or positive behavioural support whilst expanding their social networks and connections.
Enable creates a bespoke team around every individual we support, and our team of Personal Assistants work collaboratively to ensure the safety, wellbeing and aspirations of the people we support are met.

The people we support have many varied interests and hobbies and have many of the same dreams and aspirations as we do; they just too often do not get the opportunity to experience these same opportunities. Dougie, Alex, Leigh and Amy live to together and share support in their home in Stirling. They know each other well and been housemates for a number of years.
Dougie loves a bit of trainspotting, watching pipe bands, a swim and getting out and about.
Leigh is a horror buff who loves a scary movie.
Amy enjoys watching dancing and going to shows.
Alex will spend time watching wrestling and football. He likes to go swimming and going out in the local community.
Because they share support the ideal PA needs to be adaptable to provide support to each person if required.
This role would suit an active person who can adapt to the bespoke support needs of each person - which includes personal care and moving and assisting.
