What’s the role?

Working within the Workforce Analytics Team you’ll learn about designing and developing workforce reports, you will be responsible for running and updating reports using Business Objects and Excel. You’ll learn how to check and understand the data, and how to present the information.

To succeed in this role, you will love data and what it can tell us and be an ambassador for workforce data across the Council.

As part of this 18-month modern apprenticeship you’ll gain a greater understanding of digital design, IT safety and security and undertake an SCQF Level 8 in Digital Analytics Technical. This Apprenticeship would appeal to anyone who is interested in working in and pursuing a career in Data Analytics, working flexibly and using Business Objects, Excel and Office applications.

Placement is with Workforce Analytics Team, Employee Service Centre, Motherwell.

What do I need?

We do look for you to have a desire to learn and develop your own digital skills and be enthusiastic about supporting data analytics projects. You’ll need at least English and Maths at Higher Grade at band A-C, and ideally have an IT/Computing/Graphics related subject too. We’re also looking for Apprentices who can help us deliver our exciting ambition and plans for North Lanarkshire. During the selection process we’ll look for you to demonstrate the key strengths we know you’ll need to be successful; ambition, determination, adaptability, personality, ownership, be pro-active and show willingness to learn.

In accordance with Government Guidelines, you’ll need to be aged 16-24 (at the point of starting the apprenticeship) or if you are disabled or care experienced, you’ll need to be aged between 16-29 (at the point of starting the apprenticeship).
