NES Fircroft are partnering with a major Energy operator who are looking to add a Delivery Hub Lead to their CO2 transportation Infrastructure project.

The role will be working on a contract basis, duration will be initial 12 months contract with excellent potential to extend well beyond.

It will be working initially from EPC contractor offices in Woking, London for estimated 6 months. The following 6 months the role will then transfer to The Hague in the Netherlands for next phases of the project. The position offers and attractive day rate which will be Outside of IR35.

To be considered for this role it is essential that candidates have existing Right To Work in the UK.
 

Job Description & Role:

  • Ensure overall delivery of the fixed offshore distribution hub platform for CO2 distribution located in 40m water depth (approximately 5,000Te jacket, piles, topside)
    • Manage all aspects of D-Hub FEED engineering to ensure that riser & platform are designed and developed as per applicable codes, standards, and project specifications and delivered in a timely manner
    • Reviewing all Contractor engineering deliverables related to the D-Hub and being accountable
    • Interfacing with other disciplines, such as Flow Assurance, Marine and Drilling engineering teams, operations to meet project design requirements
    • Conducting coordination meetings related to the D-Hub with Contractor/others disciplines to discuss progress, clarify comments, interfaces issues, identify area of concerns /discuss and solve issues etc.
    • Conducting/ Participating to HAZID/HAZOP, PID review, safety engineering review, 3D Model Review
    • Preparing Project reviews and answer to findings
  • Control Project Progress for his package (technical, schedule and cost).
  • Ensure implementation of project procedures and compliance with internal and external regulations.
  • Ensure the best transfer of offshore facilities and installations to Operations including commissioning, start-up.
  • Promote innovation and cost effectiveness in seeking technical solutions without compromising reliability or HSE aspects of the Project.
  • Fosters a culture of sharing and collaboration within the JV.
  • Lead by example and encourage all team members to accept personal responsibility for their actions.
Accountabilities
•            Ensure that company HSE policy is enforced within the framework of all offshore platforms activities
•            Manage the D-Hub scope with the aim of remaining within the agreed budget, schedule for completion, statement of requirements and HSE policy and rules of the company.
•            Ensures the EPC contractor produces a fit-for-purpose design that is constructible and that fulfils operational requirements
•            Ensure that the design of the D-Hub meets all statutory host country and, where applicable, international requirements.
•            To mobilise, organise and manage the teams required to carry out the work
•            To ensure the timely handover to operations
•            Ensure compliance with the Aramis Partner JDOA or the like.
•            Ensure and contributes to efficient and accurate levels of reporting and maintained throughout the life of the Project for the facilities.
Ensure that any potential problems are anticipated and communicated to management in a timely manner and that appropriate contingencies are put in place to manage the same

Requirements
  • Education: Engineering Degree in a relevant discipline
  • Required professional experience: 10years’ experience in managing and delivering projects and engineering studies at least 5 years of which in an offshore and marine environment.
  • Required management capacity & skills:
    • Excellent people and team management skills, culturally sensitive with demonstrable team building, organizational and leadership abilities (having previously lead a teams of >10 FTEs).
    • Effective communicator with proven negotiation skills with balanced decision making abilities.
  • Preferred requirement:
    • Experience working in a site environment for fabrication and construction of project facilities. Knowledge of onshore fabrication methods and HSSE requirements. Site fabrication and systems completion will be an advantage.
  • Flexibility from a mobility point of view.
Fluency in English (speaking and writing) is required. Dutch speaking would be an advantage.

Dimensions
•            The FEED is being performed in UK (London area), tendering will be performed from The Hague, Netherlands and execution will be subject to the successful EPC tenderer. The expectation is that the role will follow the work in these respective phases.
•            Seconded position within the Aramis JV.
•            Full time office-based position with frequent business travel.
•            Overall CAPEX > 1 000 MEUR
