About the role

As Head of Home, you will hold a critical role with a wide range of responsibilities aimed at ensuring residential care aligns with the home’s Statement of Purpose, Children's Homes Regulations, Ofsted requirements, and our commitment to equality and positive outcomes for all children and young people. Some of the key responsibilities include:

Supervise managerial and senior residential social work staff, fostering professional practice and performance excellence.

Collaborate with the Head of Service to develop and promote the service, driving performance improvements. Provide management cover for Team Managers when necessary. Represent our service at external events and contribute to internal working groups, panels, or projects. Manage financial resources prudently, ensuring robust business planning and sound financial management.

About you

We are looking for a candidate who is not only qualified to level 5 in childrens residential management and experienced but also passionate about commitment to equality and positive outcomes for all children and young people.

With a minimum of four years post-qualification experience of leading and managing a dedicated team, the successful candidates will have the skills to ensure our residential care aligns with the home’s Statement of Purpose, Children's Homes Regulations, Ofsted requirements, and our commitment to equality and positive outcomes for all children and young people.

Having commitment to equal opportunities is essential along with an approachable demeanour with a " can do" attitude.

This role required the ability to travel across the county and work unsocial hours as necessary. Access to/use of a vehicle is essential .
