About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Production Operator to join our team in Clevedon, Somerset. Under the guidance of the Team Supervisor, you will play a critical role in laying up advanced prepreg materials and assembling various composite structures and components using adhesives and mechanical fasteners. This position is key to maintaining the high quality and precision of our composite manufacturing processes.



Key Responsibilities

Mould Preparation: Clean and prepare mould tools to ensure high-quality curing outcomes. Material Handling: Cut and lay up materials in mould tools following specified procedures. Curing Operations: Load and operate industrial curing ovens, autoclaves, and presses for composite material processing. Core Filling: Perform core filling tasks before and after curing to achieve structural integrity. Component Assembly: Assemble composite components using adhesives and mechanical fasteners, ensuring accurate alignment and bonding. Finishing: Utilize hand tools to complete finishing tasks such as linishing and countersinking. Housekeeping: Maintain cleanliness and organization in the work area to uphold high standards. Team Collaboration: Assist team members with various tasks and participate in required training. Health & Safety Compliance: Adhere to all Health and Safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment. Additional Duties: Perform other relevant tasks as required to support the Composites Department.

Requirements

Previous experience in a manufacturing environment, especially with composites, is preferred. Strong practical skills with the ability to work with advanced materials and tools. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings. Competency using hand tools and machinery. Demonstrated commitment to quality and safety standards. Excellent team collaboration skills and the ability to work independently.
