THE ROLE

In this position you will lead the bank's financial planning, management reporting, business analysis/insight, government finance liaison roles and central cost management, along with continuous improvement within FP&A, working with the team, across Finance and across BBB as required. This will include leading on the long-term financial planning through the 5-year business plan, managing short-term financial reforecasting and ad-hoc planning projects, and cost budget-holder partnering as needed by Finance Business Partnering.

For reporting and management information, you will oversee preparation of regular and ad-hoc management information; direct business analysis and board reporting/ commentary and ensure reports provide insight as well as data. As Government Liaison you will manage the Finance dimension of BBB's relationship with UK Government and lead on Finance input to budget bids for new government products/ resources.

A key aspect of the role will require you to direct and prioritise the team's activities in line with business priorities, manage team performance, including objective-setting, regular one-to-one meetings and formal performance management, and contribute to the leadership of the Finance department

As a qualified accountant, you will have senior management experience in an FP&A team, experience of forecasting in a complex and dynamic environment and substantial excel and financial modelling skills. You will be able to demonstrate knowledge of comparable financial products, experience of managing budgets and forecasts in the context of Parliamentary and Departmental spending controls. Having experience of transforming a Financial Planning and Analysis function would be beneficial.
