We are looking to recruit full-time waken night responder to join our Kinmylies service.

Shifts are usually from 22:00 to 08:00 39 hours per week.

4 on 4 off

We support over individuals with a variety of needs, some may have physical and/or learning disabilities and Mental Health some with limited verbal communication and some with challenging behaviour.

You will be provided with full training by our excellent and award-winning learning & development team prior to starting. This training initially consists of classroom-based sessions and e-learning as well as the opportunity to shadow current Support Practitioners in their day-to-day role and meet the people you will be supporting.

About the Role :

Your responsibilities as a Support Practitioner could include:

To provide support overnight to an identified group of people with learning disabilities/autism/mental health diagnosis, to ensure their safety and well being. This support will be provided at a variety of identified locations across Inverness

To carry out planned responsive night support to adults with a learning disability and/or mental health diagnosis; Responding promptly to alerts that an identified clients’ needs support; Monitoring and using technological aids to meet people’s support needs; Responding to individuals who may be displaying challenging behaviour; Responding to people who may be experiencing mental health distress; . Administering medication; Assessing and managing risk; Monitoring and promptly reporting any changes in physical/mental health; Ensuring identified clients’ night time/morning routines are followed. Meeting personal care needs in relation to continence; Enabling night time routines and ensuring that those that go to bed late are settled; Minimise behaviour problems; Recognising and solving problems before they escalate; Using your own initiative and experience to problem solve.
